And all of that without a headache and the use of the word: no. And what’s worse, the sinful Serbs quickly absorb all of that. The empty stupid dreams about a life “in clover”. Saints like St. John the Faster and St. Basil the Great, had lead purer lives than those we lead today, but their holiness did not prevent them from determining the penance for the sins that were known and practiced at the time. Does not St. Apostle Paul roar at the profligates, idolaters, adulterers, men who practice homosexuality, and other sinners of that time and doesn’t he warn them that if they don’t come back from the sinful paths and they do not repent, they will not inherit the kingdom of God. It is the responsibility of the Church to make its stand; if not, we are all to take the blame. But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way; he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. (Ezekiel 3: 17-19
